Apple announced financial results for its fiscal 2022 second quarter

Apple earlier announced results for the second quarter of fiscal 2022 that ended on March 26, of which revenue reached $97.28 billion, an increase of 8.59% compared to the same period last year, while net profit reached $25.01 billion, an increase of 5.84% compared to last year.

In terms of product sales performance, iPhone revenue reached $50.57 billion, an increase of 5.5% compared to $47.938 billion in the same period last year. As for the iPad part of the revenue, it reached $7.65 billion, which was about 1.92% lower than the $7.807 billion in the same period last year. Mac product revenue was $10.44 billion, an increase of 14.73% compared to $9.1 billion in the same period last year.

In addition, revenue from other categories including Apple Watch and Apple TV reached $8.81 billion, an increase of 12.37% compared with $7.836 billion in the same period last year. The revenue from services such as iCloud and Apple Music was $19.821 billion, an increase of 17.28% compared to last year.

Continued strong customer demand for our products helped us achieve an all-time high for our installed base of active devices,” said Luca Maestri, Apple’s CFO. “Our strong operating performance generated over $28 billion in operating cash flow, and allowed us to return nearly $27 billion to our shareholders during the quarter.

In terms of sales regions, the Americas region is still the largest source of revenue, revenue reached $40.882 billion, an increase from $34.306 billion in the same period last year, followed by the European market, with revenue of $23.287 billion, a slight increase compared to $22.624 billion in the same period last year.
