Android Messages have dark mode feature

Android Messages has recently ushered in the highly anticipated feature – Dark mode. Like YouTube’s Dark mode, Android Messages users can use it in a globally dark interface, so that the eyes can be used in low light or dark environments for a more extended period. This feature was introduced in Android Messages 3.5, and it also brings the same Material Design design elements to Google Phone and Google Contacts.

The Dark mode has been around since version 3.3, but it was only open to some users, and the related options were hidden. In the 3.5 release, any user can be enabled in the Material Design style interface. The user accesses “Enable dark mode” in the setup menu. When activated, the background of the application will turn completely black, and the dialog and information background will be grayed out.
