AMD Ryzen 3 7320U appeared on UserBenchmark

AMD last month announced Mendocino, a processor for low-power mobile platforms, aimed at mainstream Windows and ChromeOS laptops. The plan is to go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year, and the processor has already appeared in Userbenchmark‘s database.

This new processor is called AMD Ryzen 3 7320U. Since Mendocino is targeting the low-power market, it will definitely not give models that are too high. AMD Ryzen 3 7320U on Userbenchmark has four cores and eight threads, with a base frequency of 2.4GHz and an acceleration frequency of 4.1GHz. I don’t know what the maximum frequency is. The processor uses an FT6 socket.

Mendocino is similar to the Van Gogh previously used on Steam Deck. The CPU part is also the Zen 2 architecture, which is also 4 cores and 8 threads and integrates the GPU of the RDNA 2 architecture, but there are only two CU units. Considering that this processor is not aimed at the high-performance market, this is also normal. The production process has been upgraded from TSMC 7nm to 6nm, and the memory uses LPDDR5. In contrast, laptops equipped with this processor can have a super long battery life of 10 hours.

AMD has said that Mendocino will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year. Laptops with this processor are priced in the $399 to $699 range.
