AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT was once priced below MSRP in Europe: only 199 euros
The latest graphics card price trends compiled by 3DCenter show that, since entering 2022, the prices of Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series and AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards have declined, Among them, the closest to the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is AMD’s latest Radeon RX 6500 XT, which is only a 17% premium.
Recently, German retailer Mindfactory released new discounts over the weekend, Radeon RX 6500 XT has seen price cuts across the board, with ASRock Radeon RX 6500XT Challenger ITX and Gigabyte Radeon RX 6500 XT Eagle priced as low as €199 (19% VAT already included), which was once lower than the MSRP (209 euros). Although the price has recovered after the event, some Radeon RX 6500 XT prices are still reduced. For example, the current price of ASRock Radeon RX 6500 XT Phantom Gaming D OC is 229 euros, which is lower than the previous price of 249 euros.
The price of the Radeon RX 6500 XT is lower, perhaps because of its configuration. The Radeon RX 6500 XT is based on the Navi 24 core, manufactured with a 6nm process, configured with 16MB of infinite cache, and has 16 CUs, that is, 1024 stream processors, 4GB of GDDR6 video memory with a speed of 18 Gbps and a memory bit width of 64 bits. This graphics card has several controversial points, namely that the PCIe 4.0 interface is only four channels, the memory capacity is only 4GB, and it does not support 4K H.264/H.265 encoding and AV1 decoding.
