AMD is rumored to not launch Radeon RX 6600 in August

Earlier reports pointed out that AMD will release Radeon RX 6600 XT and Radeon RX 6600 at the same time on August 11, followed by photos of Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics cards, and even leaked benchmark results. Combined with earlier core AIB manufacturer PowerColor added Radeon RX 6600/RX 6600 XT GPUs to the product category on the official website, and AMD also added the information of these two GPUs in the latest drivers, make people convinced that the desktop graphics card with Navi 23 core is not far from the official release.

However, Twitter user @coreteks said that AMD will not release Radeon RX 6600 XT and Radeon RX 6600 at the same time. Radeon RX 6600 will not be launched until September or October. At the end of the year, AMD will also launch products based on the Navi 24 core. This shows that the release date of the specific model has not been fully determined, and the person who disclosed this information has previously provided the release time of the Radeon RX 6700 XT and FidelityFX Super Resolution, which is highly credible.

So far, AMD has only launched the Radeon RX 6700 XT, a graphics card based on the Navi 22 core. It is rumored that the Radeon RX 6700 with the same core has not been released. It seems that these models without the “XT” suffix will appear later, and perhaps Navi 23 core products will also be the same.

As the fourth core of the RDNA 2 architecture, Navi 24 is expected to update AMD’s entry-level product line. On mobile platforms, this type of GPU is more popular with manufacturers and consumers. According to the release time of Navi 24, it is likely to come together with the Zen 3+ architecture APU code-named Rembrandt.
