ADATA releases XPG Vault, a gaming mouse integrated with 1TB SSD

In addition to showing the PCI-E 5.0 M.2 SSD at CES 2022, ADATA will also bring a very interesting thing, a new concept gaming mouse called XPG Vault. It integrates a 1TB solid-state drive, which is equivalent to a mouse and a mobile SSD, and you can put your game library directly in the mouse.
ADATA XPG Vault mouse uses a USB Type-C interface, which can drive the mouse and the built-in SSD at the same time. The built-in SSD has a bandwidth of up to 985MB/s, which shows that the interface is of the USB 3.2 Gen2 specification. This speed is already faster than the traditional SATA SSD. Of course, it is still incomparable with NVMe SSD. It may be due to compatibility issues that USB 3.2 Gen2*2 ports are not used. ADATA is also developing a matching custom game launcher, which can help you build a game library in the mouse and directly start the game installed in the mouse.

Storing the game library and data in the mouse is very useful for users with travel needs, so you don’t need to prepare two sets of exactly the same data on different computers. Your mouse is also your SSD, which can store all kinds of things you need. Of course, the disadvantage of this design is obvious. When your mouse is broken, your data will be lost.

Of course, XPG Vault is currently only a conceptual design, there is no exact release date and pricing, but the selling point of the product is still very obvious, it should be the first gaming mouse with a built-in 1TB SSD.
