Dell released UltraSharp 49 Curved USB-C Hub Monitor: featuring an IPS Black screen

Recently, Dell updated its UltraSharp 49 series product line and launched the Dell UltraSharp 49 Curved USB-C Hub Monitor – U4924DW monitor. According to Dell, this is a 49-inch dual QHD display that uses IPS Black panel technology, presenting extraordinary color effects and excellent contrast for an immersive and smooth high-efficiency office experience.

The UltraSharp 49 Curved U4924DW monitor features a 49-inch curved screen with support for IPS Black technology, providing a wide viewing angle with horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 178°, a resolution of WQHD+ (5120 x 1440), a display ratio of 32:9, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a GtG response time of 8ms and 5ms in standard and fast modes, respectively. It has a brightness of 350 nits and a contrast ratio of 2000:1, delivering deeper black levels. Its sRGB color gamut is 100%, REC.709 color gamut is 100%, DCI-P3 color gamut is 98%, and Display P3 color gamut is 98%, offering extraordinary color effects.

The U4924DW monitor is equivalent to two 27-inch QHD displays combined, optimizing the field of view. Users can also choose to use the iMST function for split-screen use, enjoying a smooth and seamless multi-screen collaboration experience and achieving high-efficiency office work. This monitor is equipped with ComfortView Plus, a built-in low blue light screen function that is always on, reducing potentially harmful blue light radiation while maintaining color performance. It also has an anti-glare and 3H hard coating, reducing reflections and relieving eye fatigue.

Users can connect the monitor with a single USB-C cable, providing full-featured USB-C support for DP 1.4 Alt mode and a 90W PD power supply. In addition, it is equipped with a DP 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB hub function with multiple USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports (supporting 15W charging) and USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports with a speed of 10 Gbps. The monitor also provides a KVM function, two 9W speakers, an RJ45 port with a speed of 2.5 GbE (which can be used for PXE boot and other functions), and a 3.5mm jack.
